Daumen hoch Claim authorship of your postings here on AdSenseExperts.com

    Hi

You may know that there are new markup tags in html5 that allow marking the author of an article or post:

    rel="author" and rel="me"

From now on you can claim authorship of your posts and articles written here on AdSenseExperts.com

How to claim authorship of your posts:

    1. You will need a ((login for URL)). If you don’t have one, you’ll need to ((login for URL)) and fill out the “((login for URL))” section.
    2. ((login for URL)) here on AdSenseExperts.com and enter your Google + Profile ID (you can find the input field under "Additional Information")
    3. Go to your Google + Profile and click on Edit Profile
    4. Click on "Contributor to"
    5. Click on "Add custom link"
    6. Add a link to ((login for URL)) (accessible to the public, and include www. or it will create a warning!)

Steps 3-6 are necessary because Google only accepts authorship when links are reciprocal.

    How it works on AdSenseExpets.com:

Each of your posts here in this forum links with the rel="author" markup to your profile here on AdSenseExperts.com. From your profile here we link to your Google + Profile (if you did Step 1. above) with the markup rel="me". You can find the link to your Google + Profile below your Avatar.

If you followed these instructions you are now marked as author for your postings.

NOTE: Only the Thread Starter will be marked as author in SERPs even though other contributors to a thread are also present as authors for their reply.

An introductory video about authorship markup:

Hope you like this little change.
    Feedback is of course welcome

You mean to confirm that you are mentioned as author?

Try the ((login for URL)) to see that you are marked as author

However you put in adsenseexperts.com without the www. as link under "contributor to" which will create a warning. You need to update the contribution link to ((login for URL)) to fix the warning.

    I updated the instructions.

Edit: Just saw you changed it. Now you show up as verified author for your post with picture

Nice thing, you're quick to implement it. It's actually a good idea for your own site, I guess I'd have to do it also on my member sites.. ho no, more work, hahaha..

I hope it's easy to implement, I'll see. thanks for the heads up / idea.

I don't think that the implementation is hard. The technical part at least.

Getting people to use Google + and add a link to your page back in the "contributor to" links is the main problem.
On this forum all users are webmasters, however so far only a few have claimed authorship.
    Not even you

How do you want to motivate ordinary people who just want to share a little online to take the hassle and joing google + and add a link to your site?

You're talking for me? My members should like yours be adsense publishers and I have already something about displaying their tweets if they give twitter account, and some have done it.
I know it will be not so easy to get people to do it and add a link to their google++ profile, but those who will take the trouble will probably be active google+ users.

Anyway I don't know but I may try to implement it and at this time I'll do it for me in this forum, to see how it is done for the user.

Well! no author images are shown any more.
Still, experts suggest that everything is being evaluated in background.

    Any opinions?
