Hello dear Members,
i was thinking about placing the adsense codes in my fixed sidebar.
The sidebar itself is not a floating div thing that keeps scrolling. The page frameset is fixed and visitors are only able to scroll the content itself.
Is this allowed in this case? What are your experiences?

Adsense Placement in fixed sidebar allowed?

Yea, it's allowed, but try to make it looks like ads and not a part of the content not looks like a "deception".

I second Barakat's comment. I have a sidebar that I made into a navigation. For about 4 months I used a button, then link unit. I placed the unit just above the fold in the sidebar. The revenue was okay, but it limits the number of ads I can have in the content because using View Source it shows the sidebar as part of the webpage.
From my experience, a unit in the sidebar is not profitable because I can make more money by placing an additional unit on the webpages. However, having a unit on the sidebar worked great for getting high impression and good for contextual information from the impressions. You could also Google 'Adsense in Sidebar'.

to use adsense, sidebar should be fixed as floating sidebar is something that force user to click on ad which is not complying with adsense policy. so your account might be banned.

As long as it is not in a floating div as you mentioned, it's fine.
Try to vary the ad placements to optimize conversions.

Actually it appears only together on Desktop devices but in Mobile or Tablet and other portable devices it's show one or 2 ads aside! i have designed the website to be responsive with multi screen option via CSS.
