Hi, adsense has a new ad unit size 300x600
It can replace two 300x250 ad units that you have one above the other in your sidebar or within your content (with div float)
So you replace the 2 300x250 ad units by this one, and you can then put another ad unit on your page somewhere else.
At the moment this new size mainly displays lots of text ads, but there are also a few graphic ads using this size and for sure the advertizers will be jumping on this new format.

New 300x600 ad unit

That's a big ass skyscraper!
I bet advertisers will be jumping on that, which ought to be good for bid amounts - will be a bit tricky to work into a lot of layouts though....

yes, the best situation would be if you already had two 300x250 one above the other either in the sidebar or within the article, then it is easy to replace it by this ad unit and have another ad unit to put elsewhere on the page.
Otherwise, it's so huge that people will have to think about new ad placements to accomodate for this one, if it proves to be profitable.

I am already thinking about where to try this one on my forums however currently I don't see any good place for it without annoying my visitors.

I got quite excited when I saw this new ad unit. However, it is quite big and therefore is not easy to place where it isn't going to take up the whole page. However, I found a pretty nifty place for mine. This page doesn't get an awful lot of it so I can't report any fantastic results yet, when I upgrade my website. I will probably look into utilising it on more popular pages if possible.
